Set between the sea and the land, the salt marsh of Guérande is where the famous Guérande salt has been made and collected for thousands of years. Come and discover how the salt marshes operate, learn about a profession that has remained the same for thousands of years !

During your visit of the salt marshes, you will find yourself travelling back in History, you will get learn and discover the plant and animal life only found in the salted marshes. This will be the opportunity for you to meet and talk to the salt workers who will be delighted to walk around with you and share their enthusiasm and expertise during your visit.

All the salt marsh tours are on foot and led by salt marsh specialists : salt workers (the Paludiers) and naturalist guides. During your visit in the salt marshes, you will see who the water circuit operates, learn how the salt is harvested and what the work involves each season.
All the exploratory tours end with a visit of the exhibition centre, which provides information about the work done by the salt worker and the ecological riches to be found in the salt marshes throughout the year.
